Choose the right activities for your freelance work
Tell us what you do, shortlist the closest activities, and we’ll help you check the fit.
Match your services to an activity
Write down what your clients pay you to deliver, then search the 100-activity catalogue using those services, official names or codes. A useful shortlist describes your actual work, rather than only your job title.
For example, website work may lead you to Website Designing, code 6201005. Save the closest entries and shortlist up to two in your application. Our team will confirm the combination and whether it fits your work.
Prepare the right evidence
Keep examples of your work ready for your consultation. Some activities require a relevant accredited degree or diploma. Our team will explain the requirement for your chosen activities before you arrange translations or attestations.
An experience letter or CV demonstrating relevant professional experience is required after pre-approval. The document checklist explains what to prepare initially; requested evidence is shared through your private application portal.
Check that the package fits your plans
The package supports freelance work. If your plans involve partners, hiring staff, trading or work at particular client sites, discuss them with our team so we can explain whether this route suits your needs.
You can start from abroad or inside the UAE. Your documents and next actions depend on your current situation. Activity and qualification checks are part of the review, and final licence and residence decisions remain with the relevant authorities.
